Quantum Prayer Download & APP Meeting 4.15 at 6:30

Hey Everyone…Three things…
1) Just a reminder that we will have an Albany Peace Project Committee Meeting on  April 15 at 6:30 Unity Church of Albany, 21 King Avenue, Albany.

There is much to do as we hone our efforts to help define this ground-breaking research.  We would inviting volunteers to get involved.  The following are some specific skills needed:– passionate people who are motivated to promote this work   –  video editing    – marketing    – social media help – fundraising    – musicians      – group meditation leaders  – Do you have a special talent?  Let us know.  We are open to any comments or suggestions.

Inspired Service is one of the most reliable routes to Happiness.                                             Come have fun with us!

2) I have been wanting to do this for a while…and still working the kinks out, but enclosed below is a link to the talk I gave at NUMINOUS on Quantum Prayer, which you could also think of as “Being Prayer.”  I hope inspires you to keep up your intentional efforts.

Description; In this Seeking Source Saturday, we will discuss Dr. Joe Dispenza’s explanation of how intentions manifest based on his cutting edge work in consciousness. Dr. Dispenza’s work has been gaining world wide attention over the past several years. He has become so confident in his understandings of how the mind heals the body that he now invites scientists to his workshops. These scientists measure changes in people who attend Dr. Dispenza’s workshops where attendees routinely experience spontaneous healings.

In order for such deep healing to occur, we need to travel into the unknown,…and stay there! Because it is from the unknown that we will manifest new results, not the known. We will discuss how when we venture into the unknown, which could also be thought of as a “sea of potential” , we invite the potentialities that we prefer to form and manifest in our lives. We will shake loose from the rigid patterns we keep re-manifesting each day, and gain some basic scientific knowledge that enables us to maintain belief in the process as we attend to the discipline that is required for things to change.

We will also discuss what researchers at Yale refer to as the “default mind” and how that keeps us stuck.

The audience microphone did not record, so this version is edited, although there were many amazingly insightful comments mentioned by the audience.

Come join the conversation at the next NUMINOUS Event:                                                            The Importance for Spiritual Cleansing for Intentional Work                                                         Saturday April 18 at 4:00  at the Yoga Lily in Clifton Park.

3) Here is a review of the highlights for the upcoming year:

Plans for the third phase of the Albany Peace Project 2016 are already underway…and we would love to include you.  Highlights are:

1) The theme of the 2016 Albany Peace Project will be:  The Science of Peace & Happiness.   The desire to be happy is the one thing we all share with everyone on the entire planet.  We will discuss how to tune the nervous system to attend to the world in a manner that primes us for feeling buoyant.

2) This year we are collaborating with author, Will Bowen founder of the Complaint-Free World Campaign.  We will be kicking the Complaint-Free program off as a pre-kickoff for the Albany Peace Project on November 1 & 2, 2015.  Bracelets will be given out for inspire  people  to go 21 days without complaining (which takes the average person 4-8 months…Do you see why we are starting early!)   Check it out!  Look to the column on the left of this link: http://www.willbowen.com

3) Will Bowen has agreed to do a webinar just for the Albany Peace Project.

4) Did you notice?  Our website is under construction!  A new website is currently being created that be more user-friendly and have Twitter feed for reporting positive events in Albany.

5) Albany crime data is being collected for the last seven years, and will be reviewed by State University of Albany Mathematics Professor, Dr. Karen Reinhold.   The crime data will be analyzed by comparing the crime data of Januarys from 2008-20012 to the crime data during the Januarys which The Albany Peace Project was in effect, 2013 and 2014.

6) Albany Peace Project t-shirts will be offered as a fundraiser.  You may want to purchase one, because I hear that summer is around the corner!  (We must have faith!)

There is much to do as we hone our efforts to help define this ground-breaking research.  We would inviting volunteers to get involved.  The following are some specific skills needed:

– passionate people who are motivated to promote this work   –  video editing    – marketing    – social media help – fundraising    – musicians      – group meditation leaders  – Do you have a special talent?  Let us know.  We are open to any comments or suggestions.

If you would like the Albany Peace Project to offer mindfulness programs at your organization let us know.

APP Volunteer Meeting – Wed. 4/27/16 at 7:00 PM Unity Church

Hey Everyone.
This year the Albany Peace Project/Numinous has set ambitious goals to help inspire peace in Albany.

If you are interested in volunteering with a group of light hearted good natured people who love to laugh, and who understand that peace is just a few thoughts away, please come out this Wednesday evening April 27 at 7:00 PM at the Unity Church of Albany and add your insights.  Please review the list below and see where your talents fit!  The first four items need immediate attention.

Interfaith Prayer Study Committee

Help is needed to gather 2500 people of faith who are willing to do a 15 minute prayer meditation for peace for eight days between July 24-July 31.

Fundraising Committee Event

We have a fundraising event scheduled for 10/1 tentatively at the Unitarian Church in Albany.  Our current idea is to offer hors d’oeuvres from 6:30-8:30 PM with music and seven stations where people can learn about the various outreach functions of Numinous.

Stations:

  1. Mindfulness As A Solution to Violence (MASV)
  2. Albany Peace Project
  3. Institute of Heartmath Coherence Software Demonstrations
  4. Numinous – programs
  5. Interfaith Prayer Study
  6. Mindfulness For Busy People
  7. Mindfulness in Schools

We need a committee to do the following to help with this event :

  • organize food donations
  • find printing donations
  • establish a guest list.
  • help organize and run the event

Marketing Committee –

Help is needed to raise money for our new initiative Mindfulness As A Solution to Violence, where youth learn both alternatives to violence practices and also biofeedback self regulation skills that they can learn to reliably call upon to calm their nervous systems during the chaos of conflict.  We feel that this is where we can make the greatest difference toward peace in the Albany, NY area.  Businesses may want to support this initiative, because businesses often suffer the consequences of youth violence.
Mindfulness As A Solution To Violence (MASV):

Almost 40 percent of American children were direct victims of two or more violent acts, and one in ten were victims of violence five or more times.

Without a tactical comprehensive plan to end the violence of today’s youth by activelyteaching peace the cycle of learned violence will continue permanently!!

Mindfulness as A Solution to Violence(MASV) is a strategically designed peace building program designed to finally stop the cycle of violence by teaching youth well-established alternatives to violence and self-regulating biofeedback practices.

Summary Goals

– Teach self-regulation and mindfulness skills through biofeedback technology to at-risk youth proven to reduce violent behavior and increase academic competence

– Teach Alternative To Violence (AVP) skills to at-risk youth established in Green Haven Prison over 40 years ago that have continued to positively influence inmates in hundreds of prisons. When inmates learn these skills it reduces their recidivism rates and helps offenders experience a peaceful re-entry into society.

Offering youth the opportunity to learn these skills before they become part of the juvenile system offers a huge advantage in shortening the violence cycle.  Our goal is to cultivate a group of young leaders who embody Alternative to Violence and self-regulation and mindfulness skills and train them to facilitate peer leaded group intervention programs for other at-risk youth.

MASV Group Facilitators

Bethany Gonyea, MS

For the past 22 years Bethany Gonyea has been teaching biofeedback and self-regulation skills to a wide range of populations, including young inmates at Brookwood Secure Center, a facility for juvenile offenders who, while under the age of 16, committed violent felonies and were convicted and sentenced in adult criminal court.  Brookwood Secure Center is the juvenile equivalent of a maximum security prison for adults.  Ms. Gonyea is the founder of the Albany Peace Project which was created to make self-regulation skills available to all residents in Albany,  NY.  She has also presented these concepts to the Albany Police Department and established coherence based programming for the staff at Cure Violence,  and is responsible for introducing and establishing comprehensive mindfulness programs in nine capital district public schools while consulting with several others, and more scheduled for the 2016-2017 school year.

Bernard Shuman

During his 22 years of service both in and out of prison, Bernard Shuman has spent thousands of hours volunteering his time to support others in turning away from crime, hatred, helplessness, and hopelessness, while urging them to turn toward faith, emotional healing, and offering assistance to others.  Mr. Shuman has offered over 6000 hours of teachingAlternative to Violence practices to inmates, and holds a Gold Certificate for teaching and facilitating Alternatives to Violence, the highest certification possible.  He also was trained to facilitate classes for Prisoners for AIDS Counseling and Education through Hudson Valley Community Service and ultimately enabled over 3,000 individuals to be tested for HIV infection.  Mr. Shuman has an quiet impressive unassuming presence that young people admire which is why they listen intently to what he has to say.

His motto: “Don’t make the mistakes that I made.”

Volunteers from The Albany Peace Project

Volunteers who are trained biofeedback self-regulation practices will be available to help with administrative tasks and teach biofeedback principles.
Meditation Outreach Committee

All of our efforts will make the greatest impact only if we gather 2500 meditators to participate in this research.  Please consider helping us inspire more meditators to participate both in our summer interfaith prayer research study and the January Albany Peace Project.

Other Committee areas we could use your help:

Volunteer Coordination Committee

– help organize volunteers…we have plenty of talent, we just need to keep people connected

Meditation Leader Certification Program Committee

– this program certifies people to teach the the protocol used by the Albany Peace Project to facilitate peace in Albany, NY.  When people become certified in the Albany Peace Project protocol, they feel more confident bringing meditation to their home or work environments.
Guided Meditation Video (editing/recording/posting) Committee

APP relies heavily on video.  We really need individuals who feel comfortable doing simple video editing.
Social Media Committee

– Social Media is how we have grown.  We need a group that can devise a strategic plan to help leverage the power of the internet to inspire more meditators.

Technology Committee
– Help with video editing, live streaming, webinars, etc.
Data and Analysis Committee
– help with gathering data for research

Event Committees:

Comedy and Conversation Committee

– Our first comedy event was a HUGE hit….people obviously want more spiritual comedy!  We are putting the word out for comedians who have a humorous insight about spiritual practices…we intend to offer a “last spiritual comedian standing” in the future.

Living The Discipline of Conscious Intentionality
Bethany Gonyea, NUMINOUS founder
Wednesday June 1, at 7:00 PM
Unity Church of Albany

More and more research is documenting that our mental intentions have real world impact.  As we come to grasp the enormous implications of this research, we learn how important it becomes that we create through conscious intention rather than unconscious default.  With Intention…everything counts…so we  need to be brutally honest with ourselves about what intentions we are emitting at all times.  We also need be aware when we are going “unconscious.”  Conscious Intention only works when we are inputting the same signal into the field repeatedly, and we don’t fall asleep at the wheel.

To skillfully sculpt our lives through intention, we need to learn the discipline of keeping our desires alive while facing life’s inevitable challenges.  We will discuss the concept that maintaining conscious intentions is similar to living from the peaceful eye of a storm. We may see all softs of things flying in the wind but learn not to attach to them and fly away ourselves.   We will also discuss what is our role in creating our lives and how to interface skillfully with the Loving Intelligence that connects us all, to sculpt a lives of the deepest meaning and engagement.

The Jaguar Path: the Benefits of  Shamanic Skills in Every Day Life – Part 1
Ray Crist, Shaman and Founder of The Jaguar Path Yoga School
Wednesday June 8, at 7:00 PM
Unity Church in Albany

Shamans are men and women who heal themselves an train others to cultivate their power and abilities to heal by learning to shift into “second attention”  First attention includes all of the ordinary information we experience through our five senses every day.  However, Shamans also access information form “Second Attention”, which means they sense the additional energy and information flowing around the filters of our five senses. A power innate to all of us. “Listen to your heart” ” Trust your gut feeling” etc.

When we train to widen our perceptual fields we can access this wealth of information along with a quite confidence and inner peace. Through the tools you will learn you will accelerate your healing and find both courage and the capacity to make the changes your heart and higher self wants you to make!

By training our minds to sense and become aware of this subtle information the way shamans do, we gain access to a whole new breadth of information that can be highly advantageous to our path.  We can even start to make changes without  “white knuckling” them, because we have accelerated accessing the crisp clarity required for sudden change.   As we learn how to access this occluded information we gain great wisdom and discernment, and our steps become more sure.

In this class, we are happy to invite back by popular demand, Ray Crist, founder of the Jaguar Path School of Yoga and Shamanism.  Ray will be offering us some practical Shamanic tools and understandings He will share with us how Shamanic training can help westerners to:
–    Learn tools that will help heal past traumas
–    develop an abiding sense of personal power, integrity and authenticity
–    understand your place and purpose in life
–    develop innate psychic impressions (second attention)  and understand them as a spiritual resource
–    deepen creative inspiration and expression
–    strengthen established regular spiritual practices
–    deepen your understanding of your personal relationships with nature, people, and living environments
–   experience deep mystical states that can elevate and stabilize you morally, spiritually and emotionally

This fall, Ray will be opening a chapter of his Jaguar Path Yoga School through NUMINOUS this fall, so we will be offering similar classes so that people can get a good experience of his work, and learn whether they would like to expand their training through the comprehensive 9 month program .  Ray is a grounded teacher, who loves to combine contemporary life with established primordial wisdom practices to help us live lives of greater meaning, purpose, ease and majestic wonder.

AVP Workshops are intensive learning experience which teaches interpersonal conflict resolution skills through a series of step-by-step processes.  These experiences in small groups and one-to-one interactions build a sense of community and trust through exercises focusing on:  The Advance AVP workshop focuses on the underlying causes of violence, both in ourselves and in the world we live in.  It is designed to give participants opportunities to rebuild community, review in depth the concept of Transforming Power and proceed to set individual and group goals for the focus of the remainder of the workshop

An Introduction to the Avatar Material – Living Deliberately
Anna Witt. Avatar Master
Wednesday June 15, at 7:00 PM
Unity Church of Albany

In this class we are fortunate to have Anna Witt, master of the extremely profound Avatar materials synthesized and collected by Harry Palmer.  The Avatar® Course is a set of practical, effective tools that allows people, in a very short time, to identify and change the conclusions, decisions, and agreements that are shaping their lives.  Participants set new goals or revive old ones, and use their rediscovered powers, create opportunities, motivation, and the courage to pursue dreams.

“Avatar is a non – religious practice that allows a person to reconnect with their true spiritual self. And along the way, students discover the source of issues, problems and concerns, learn ways to resolve and eliminate those issues, problems and concerns, and as a consequence gain the  ability to create the life they want. This is known as living deliberately.”

So, Avatar doesn’t really discuss what is consciousness per se, but it provides you with fundamentals tools on how your consciousness works.

“Allow yourself the gift of universal perspective. Wisdom will appear and your actions will be motivated by an intuitive, spontaneous, benevolent intent. There is no regret. Do useful things. Help others for the delight of helping others. Concentrate on adding value to the world rather than consuming the world.”
– Harry Palmer, author of the Avatar materials

The presenter, Cindy Perlin, is a licensed clinical social worker, certified biofeedback practitioner, chronic pain survivor and author of The Truth About Chronic Pain Treatments: The Best and Worst Strategies for Becoming Pain Free. Cindy will discuss the dangers of most conventional pain treatments and how to develop a safe, effective treatment plan that incorporates body-based, mind-based and spirituality-based approaches to maximize your healing potential.

Cindy Perlin’s book reveals important and significant information about the many effective treatments for pain other than a pill prescribed by your doctor. I know from my experience as a surgeon that there are many treatments, from emotional to physical, which can heal the cause and relieve the resulting pain. This book is a wonderful resource for those in need of relief from pain. I have also personally experienced energy healing and the effectiveness of hypnosis in my life and work. Living With Intention:  Erasing the Neural Networks Responsible for Negative Thought Patterns, Using Memory Reconsolidation, A Neuroplasticity Tool – Tuesday June 2 at 7:00

Shenendehowa Adult Community Center, 6 Clifton Common Ct, Clifton Park, NY

Have you ever felt you changed a bad habit permanently, only to find it re-emerge at a later time?  Do you still feel anxious when you are not meditating?  Do you try to think positive uplifting thoughts but still find yourself rapidly slipping into negative thought patterns?

Although we may change  outward behavior, it is common for our old negative emotional reaction patterns to still be consolidated — stored in the brain’s long-term, “implicit memory” circuits.  If we don’t work to skillfully change these circuits, they remain indelible and permanent for our lifetime.   Although we can build different neural networks with new patterns of behavior, we often build these new networks in our brain “over” the old programming.

Because the brain is an energy hog, when we have low energy, we quickly revert back to outdated thinking patterns because the neural pathways for the old behavior still exist.   They have only been “written over” with the new behavioral programming.

This is a powerful understanding to have for those of us who are dedicated to a spiritual path.

The spiritual life is one of reprogramming and redefining past experiences while developing greater intimacy and communication with the Infinite.  This Divine intimacy requires a mind that is available, not stuck  in the past, especially if were are going to be cultivating the art of intention to create something new in our lives.

So….How do we actually ERASE the brain of old programming?

In this NUMINOUS talk we will apply what current neuroplasticity research has revealed, that the only way to to actually erase old mental patterns is through skilled  memory reconsolidation.     We stop trying to abandon the lower self, and finally start integrating it with our higher nature.   This facilitates  the more stable and sustained elevated consciousness required for successful intention.

Spiritual Conversations For Men, Tuesday June 2 at 7:00 PM

Glenn Hogue & Tim Moon, Fo’Castle Farms, 166 Kingsley Road, Burnt HillsTuesday

The conversation started on April 7 and it was spirited!  Participants learned that there are many topics to explore regarding men’s spirituality, and they were grateful for the opportunity.

Most spiritual programs are predominantly attended by women, which often causes women’s issues to be the focus of such programming.  However, at NUMINOUS, we wanted to provide new programs that would specifically support Men’s spiritual discoveries as they do the significant work of pioneering how to blend ancient spiritual teachings with contemporary culture’s expectations of masculinity.

This is critically important work, as we seem to be in a time in history when all sorts of established paradigms are falling.   The rugged individualism of the late 20th century is being challenged on all levels, especially in relationships. The traditional roles between male and female are also being blurred as well.

How do we maintain the integrity of our yang (masculine) energy while assimilating the gentler aspects of spirituality and still be effective in this world?  How do we manage the competitiveness of the business environment and not loose our soul?  How do we learn how to manage ourselves and others in a way that honors each of us?     How do we learn how to connect in relationships but still stand firm in understanding our own needs.   Many of us have felt the burden of doing life “alone” and would prefer to find a way to collaborate with others, but find ourselves exhausted  as we try to partner as well.  In these discussions we will learn how to integrate input from Spirit, women, and other men, without loosing our vital connection with ourselves.

Learning how to skillfully partner, listen, and still assert our truth seems to be a huge piece of the mission of our generation of men. These Spiritual Conversations For Men will give us an opportunity to gain answers to the some of the most challenging questions of our lives.  In a quiet environment, we can safely discuss the biggest puzzles of our lives,  and obtain invaluable insights from others who have grappled with the same questions.  Through this exchange, we learn that we don’t have to do “life alone.”  Also, we learn how good it feels to be supported and to provide the same meaningful support for others.   These discussions will offer us clarity and direction as we learn to connect, and yet still hold individual balance.

Numinous will be offering Spiritual Conversations For Men on a bi-weekly basis starting at Fo Castle Farms.  We are extremely fortunate to have Tim Moon, MA, CASAC and Fo Castle Owner/Operator Glenn Hogue.  These two have over 55 years of combined spiritual understandings to chart this prosperous territory.

Approaching Agony – Tuesday June 23 at 7:00

Shenendehowa Adult Community Center, 6 Clifton Common Court, Clifton Park, NY 12065

There are many times in life where we know we need to confront something BIG, like a death, divorce, bankruptcy, or a serious illness.   No one gets out of this life unscathed, as the longer we live, the more difficulties we face.

Thinking about our indomitable challenge often causes pits in our stomach, and feelings of unfairness, resentment, wastefulness, and loss as we come to begrudgingly acknowledge the only way out of our challenge is through it.  Facing these huge shakedowns with only corporeal skills can feel daunting.

When our worlds are getting rocked, is it possible to face these shattering life challenges with dignity and hope?       Absolutely!

That is the blessing and the promise of the spiritual path.

In this Numinous talk, we will discuss how to face life’s shakedowns with dignity.  Because the truth is is that these difficult times have the perfect alchemy to convert our base natures into pure gold.  It has been asked,  where else is there room for the sorrows of the world except in a broken heart? During these times we come to rely on our skills of presence, self-compassion, and deep honoring to sweeten the bitter soup we are asked to swallow.  This approach to challenge enables us to be abundantly nourished by our spiritual path during difficult times so that we emerge from the other side of the challenge more whole and integrated, as the challenge taught us to abide and trust in a greater peace.  We delight in the fact that we have become enlarged by the experience, instead of diminished, with a wider more resolute perspective to face future challenges.

The Jaguar Path: the Benefits of  Shamanic Skills in Every Day Life – Part 1
Ray Crist, Shaman and Founder of The Jaguar Path Yoga School

Wednesday June 8, at 7:00 PM
Cultural Center at the Hindu Temple – NEW VENUE
450 Albany Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12211

Shamans are men and women who heal themselves, and train others to cultivate their power and abilities to heal by learning to shift into “second attention”.  First attention includes all of the ordinary information we experience through our five senses every day.  However, Shamans also access information from “Second Attention”, which means they sense the additional energy and information flowing around the filters of our five senses. This is a power innate to all of us. “Listen to your heart” ” Trust your gut feeling” etc.

When we train to widen our perceptual fields we can access this wealth of information, along with a quite confidence and inner peace. Through these tools you will learn to accelerate your healing, and find both the courage and the capacity to make the changes your heart and higher self wants you to make!

By training our minds to sense and become aware of this subtle information the way shamans do, we gain access to a whole new breadth of information that can be highly advantageous to our path.  We can even start to make changes without  “white knuckling” them, because we have accelerated our access to the crisp clarity required for sudden change.  As we learn how to access this occluded information, we gain great wisdom and discernment, and our steps become more sure.

In this class, we are happy to invite back, by popular demand, Ray Crist, founder of the Jaguar Path School of Yoga and Shamanism.  Ray will be offering us some practical Shamanic tools and understandings. He will share with us how Shamanic training can help westerners to:

–    learn techniques that will help heal past traumas

–    develop an abiding sense of personal power, integrity and authenticity

–    understand your place and purpose in life

–    develop innate psychic impressions (second attention)  and understand them as a spiritual resource

–    deepen creative inspiration and expression

–    strengthen established regular spiritual practices

–    deepen your understanding of your personal relationships with nature, people, and living environments

–   experience deep mystical states that can elevate and stabilize you morally, spiritually and emotionally

Ray will be opening a local chapter of his Jaguar Path Yoga School through a cooperative program with NUMINOUS this fall. We will be offering several similar classes, so that people can gain greater experience with his work, and discover whether they wish to further expand their training through an even more comprehensive 9 month program .  Ray is a grounded teacher who loves to combine contemporary life with established primordial wisdom practices, in order to help us live lives of greater meaning, purpose, ease and majestic wonder.

“Doctors are trained to treat the result and not the cause. I know from my experience that what Cindy shares speaks the truth.”

Utilizing Higher Consciousness in Everyday Life
Todd Cunningham, author of Energy 101
11/6 at 2:00 PM
Spirit Tree Connections
987 New Loudon Road,Latham NY

Cultivating higher consciousness goes far beyond the meditation cushion.  As we cultivate higher states within ourselves, we begin feeling more comfortable in our every day interactions in this world. We begin to feel more personal meaning, and deep connection to people in our lives.  Unfortunately, many people have not learned skills to communicate with Higher Intelligence so they don’t feel a connection between ther spiritual lives and their daily lives.

In this Discussion, Todd Cunningham, author of Energy 101, (a personal manual with 10 exercises to help you become more conscious, aware and able to communicate with your higher source), will offer guided meditations and exercises geared to help you become more conscious and aware of your unique connection with Source, your higher consciousness.  We all have our own unique connection to the Divine, and Todd will be helping us reveal our own personal connection through skilled exercises.    By becoming more conscious of this connection, we are able to reliably access our higher nature and live happier and healthier lives with greater ease and joy.  We will find, there is no standard answer to these life questions and the answers are uniquely ours.  As we learn to skillfully pause and polish our connection to the Divine, it deepens and enhances our entire existence.

Gaining Traction with Law of Attraction: Making Decisions With Great Amplitude
Bethany Gonyea
Sunday 11/13  at 2:00 PM
Spirit Tree Connections
987 New Loudon Road,Latham NY

“You are far too tolerant of mind wandering”   A Course in Miracles

People often yearn for change, and yet perpetuate mental habits that keep them stuck.  So many times, we find ourselves in mental loops, and have no idea that we have been through the loop hundreds of times.  These mental cul de sacs are often the reason why our intentional efforts to not take effect.  We spend far too much of our time in dead end thinking.

I heard someone say recently that he wanted to take some time off to heal, however, I had heard the person say this during many other situations.  I suggested it was no longer a time for him to heal, as it is a time to make a decision to be healed and stick with it.  Healing any aspect of our lives often comes down to us making a decision, and the decision must be made with a great amplitude for it to hold enough power for change.

In this talk we will discuss law of attraction and the areas where we feel stuck and trapped.   We will help you to review your thinking, and see where you can make a decision to move forward, whether outwardly or not.  You will be able to examine your thoughts and get off the hamster wheel you may find yourself on, and make a decision with such amplitude and power that you will finally be able to move forward in creating the life you want.  You will feel like a door has been opened, and you will need to decide if you want to walk through it.

The Art of Feminine Presence
Jill Boyd
11/20  at 2:00 PM
Spirit Tree Connections
987 New Loudon Road,Latham NY

If you are a woman who has been on a personal and spiritual growth path for quite some time and wanting to stop pushing to make things happen, come and experience an informational session and demonstration on the Art of Feminine Presence. It is a series of unique and tangible practices that increases a woman’s presence, feminine energy and vocal power so she can be heard, be seen and inspire change. These are practical tools that create massive results. You will see the change in yourself and other women immediately. It is undeniable. It is not where we intellectually discuss whether the feminine needs to be more present in our society. We already know that. It is not that we dance on a beach with hip scarves in the hope it will change our lives. We can do that on our own. Imagine walking into any room or any situation with a magnetic presence and attract the attention you want in your career and in your relationships. Your life will be transformed.

Jill Boyd is a certified teacher in the Art of Feminine Presence. She is an iconic image stylist. She is licensed in New York as a registered nurse and aesthetician. She received a masters degree from Long Island University in Community Mental Health Counseling. She graduated from Austin’s School of Spa Technology and afterwards received training from the Stoltz Image Institute in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas; Gabriel Productions in Miami, Florida; The Universal Style System in San Moreno, California; and the Conselle Institute of Image Management in Provo, Utah.

November 19th, 2016 at Overit Studios, new Scotland Ave., Albany NY. 7-9:30 pm.  Get tickets here: Mark Shepard and The Amazing Rogue Mystics ( Get yours Now! Before they’re sold out!)

Mark Shepard, composer of the theme song of the Albany Peace Project, “Be The Change” is putting together an amazing lineup of his favorite talented musicians and calling this one time band the “The Rogue Mystics.” As part of his own personal 90 day challenge last summer he fantasized about what a cool and wonderful thing it would be to gather all of his favorite and beloved musicians together for a spontaneous and improvisational spiritual but not religious evening of his positive genre music sung by multiple voices and instruments… and a small, intimate audience that was every bit a part of the “band” as the band…Come join us on

Come join us on November 19th, 2016 at Overit Studios, new Scotland Ave., Albany NY. 7-9:30 pm.  Get tickets here: Mark Shepard and The Amazing Rogue Mystics ( Get yours Now! Before they’re sold out!)

Here’s Mark’s lineup so far:

1 Joe Mennonna –  Joe Mennonna is one of the most incredible musicians of our time. You name it, he can either sight read it or play it by ear. And on about 20 different instruments. Flute, piano, tuba, trumpet,  saxophone, guitar, drums, bass, pipe organ, accordion… whatever. He plays everything. He has played with everyone from Don McClean to Deep Purple, Vanessa Williams, Tom Rush, David Bromberg and currently touring with The Bacon Brothers (as in Kevin Bacon the famous actor guy).

2 Gene Moore – Gene Moore is an amazing electric guitarist. Mark thinks he’s one of the best in the world.

3 Rilee O’Neill – Rilee O’Neill is the golden voice that really nailed my Posi award for “Together We Can Change The World.”  She sang it back when she was only 11 years old. And she’s sung a few things recently like “Oh My Beloved” that Mark can’t wait to play for you. She loves to improvise and she will get a chance to do just that for your ears.

4 Joy Adler – Joy is one of Mark’s most recent musical collaborators. She sang awesomely on four of his most recent productions and added so much spark and fire, silk and soul to those tunes that HE HAD to have her join us. She, like Mark and pretty much every other player in Mark’s “dream band” is not just a musician. She is a masterful energy healer and it is so fitting to make music AND healing with her.

5 Brian Mellick – Mark has known Brian for probably 20 years. He kept bumping into him in various places and felt so moved and inspired by his percussion genius and personal authenticity that he just envisioned playing with him.

6 Roger Mock – The man who got Mark to learn other people’s songs! While Mark Shepard has known some of the dream band longer, Roger is the one he has played with the most. For 5 and a half years they essentially did 3 gigs a week and Mark  wrote  30 new songs in his general direction.  He will be joining us on Mandolin, guitar and vocals.

7 Pete Furlong – Mark and Pete enjoy singing harmonies together.  Pete’s fine clear tenor is simply the perfect blend for Mark’s voice. AND he’s an awesome percussionist and multi-instrumentalist and songwriter.

8 Sarah Puig – Sings some of the most unusual and cool harmonies I’ve ever had the pleasure of hearing. She is also an endless source of sweet quirkyness and wicked good puns as well as a fine multi-instrumentalist and songwriter.

9 Mike Covey – After Mark jammed with Mike, he quite literally caused him to create an entirely new way of playing that has increased his enjoyment of playing music with other people 10 fold. He is totally self taught but he’s one of the best teachers Mark knows.

10 Gary Goldberg  –“Master of Ceremonies”.

11 The Mystery Guest Singer.  You may recognize her immediately!….

2017 Albany Peace Project Kickoff Program Concert –

Participate in the Albany Peace Project This January and Awaken the Hero Within with the Albany Peace Project This January!

Friday Evening, December 30,
Unity Church of Albany
7:00 PM

As the testimonials say below, amazing things happen when people participate in the Albany Peace Project.   The theme of this year is “Awakening the Hero Within,” because after three years of offering APP, we have heard some powerful stories of how when we advocate for the dignity and honor of others, we enlargen ourselves.  We feel greater dignity, self respect and deep purpose with our lives.  In these times of great global turmoil, we can find a place in ourselves through these meditations, where we know we are connected to a Loving Intelligence that connects us all, and “vote with our heart” to accelerate the presence of peace on this planet.   Taking a stand in our own hearts for peace, instead of feeling victimized by media accounts, makes our head go up and our shoulders go back.  Meditation Peace research has been demonstrated, however we need your help to get the local measurable results.  We can’t just talk about peace…we must “be it”

Come join us for a catalyzing uplifting evening on Friday Evening December 30 with exhilarating group of musicians,  singers and and also inspiring speakers!!!   The program concert will help you to start 2017 off right and set you on a trajectory to make 2017 your best year yet!

After participating int the Albany Peace Projet for two years, it is still hard to describe what participaing in the Albany Peace Project does…but it just changes you…for the better.

I asked my husband to join me meditating Jan 1 as part of the Peace Project, not something he would choose to do.  We selected 5:00 pm as our time. Yesterday at 4:50, he asked if we were going to be meditating. Thank you for creating this project. Peace starts at home. It has descended here!

I was very moved by today’s meditation, and I’m very moved by your work.  Thank you.

First, your guided meditations this year are beyond wonderful.  I am loving them all.

You’ve got some interesting people you’ve interviewed.

Great interview & meditation today. Thanks

Wow! I LOVE your guided meditation. You are so sweet and gentle.  Having us envision Albany residents in scenarios is brilliant! You are a gem; APP is fortunate to have you on the team.
